Position Overview:
Impact Recruiting Solutions is looking for a skilled and compassionate Neurologist to join a well-established clinic located in Brooklyn, NY. Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency program in Neurology.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Certification: Board Certified in Neurology.
- Experience: Must have paid experience performing Echocardiograms, Carotid Doppler, Lower Extremity Venous Doppler, and Abdominal Aortic Doppler.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Proficient in performing neurological examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies (EEG, EMG, MRI, CT), and managing treatment plans for various neurological conditions.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders, including but not limited to epilepsy, stroke, migraine, neuropathy, and movement disorders.
- Perform comprehensive neurological examinations and interpret diagnostic studies such as EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT scans.
- Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures including Echocardiograms, Carotid Doppler, Lower Extremity Venous Doppler, and Abdominal Aortic Doppler.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals for specialized care or surgical interventions.
- Educate patients and their families on neurological conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms and improving quality of life.
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Stay current with advancements in neurology through continuing education and participation in professional development activities.
